Project Call – Oil & Gas

Oil & Gas RFP #1

This year the OESI addresses six targets identified in the Oil & Gas Roadmap which can be found on our Innovation & Technology Development page. The six Oil & Gas target areas are:

  • Reduction of severity for loss of primary and secondary well control events
  • Loss of containment; early detection and response
  • Ensuring infrastructure integrity in aging fields
  • Integrity-focused subsea and subsurface operations technology for existing and ongoing installations
  • Improved offshore topside facility and safer operations
  • Improvement of regulatory effectiveness

The lead organization for each proposal is required to be a member of the OESI consortium. To join the consortium, review the process on the Membership page and submit an application.  Key RFP deadlines:

  • December 5, 2022 – Release date for the Oil & Gas Request for Proposal
  • January 15, 2023 at 11:59 PM CST – Submission deadline for questions
  • March 3, 2023 at 11:59 PM CST – Submission deadline for Final Project Proposal and related documents
  • June 2023 – Proposal awards announcement
